All About Me
My name is Alexandra Le Mura, and I am a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker and counsellor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities across Queensland.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of frontline and clinical settings, specializing in mental health, trauma-informed care, crisis response, and grief and bereavement counselling. I have held senior roles within the Department of Veterans’ Affairs / Open Arms, where I provided intake triage, crisis counselling, and senior clinician support to veterans and their families.
I have also worked with StandBy Support After Suicide, offering compassionate, immediate care to individuals and families impacted by suicide. Additionally, I contributed to Anglicare’s Women’s Early Intervention Program, providing trauma-informed case management to women and families at risk of homelessness. My experience also includes working with Grief Australia, which has deepened my ability to support clients through loss and bereavement with sensitivity and evidence-based care. Earlier roles with yourtown and the Department of Defence have further strengthened my expertise in supporting children, families, serving members, and veterans through complex life transitions and challenges.
In my counselling practice, I deliver Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS), providing structured, evidence-based interventions that support clients in building resilience, managing mental health concerns, and moving forward with confidence.
Alongside my practice, I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Naturopathy, which further enhances my skills in evidence-based, holistic approaches to wellbeing.
At Horus House Holistic Counselling Service, I integrate my professional expertise with a compassionate, client-centred approach. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space for people to explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward healing and growth.
