WHY HORUS?

Horus, one of the most significant deities in ancient Egyptian mythology, represents a complex tapestry of symbolism and meaning. Often depicted as a falcon or a man with a falcon's head, Horus embodied the sky, kingship, and protection. His right eye was associated with the sun, symbolizing power and vitality, while his left eye represented the moon, signifying healing and restoration.

As the son of Isis and Osiris, Horus's narrative is deeply intertwined with themes of justice and divine order. Following his father's murder by the god Set, Horus embarked on a quest for vengeance that culminated in a series of epic battles. His triumph over Set not only avenged Osiris but also established Horus as the rightful ruler of Egypt. Thus, he became a symbol of rightful kingship and the embodiment of the pharaoh's power on Earth.

The "Eye of Horus," an ancient symbol associated with healing and protection, further underscores Horus's significance. Often used as an amulet, it was believed to ward off evil and bring good fortune. In essence, Horus stands as a multifaceted symbol of resilience, protection, and legitimacy, reflecting complex beliefs and values.
